Pretty streets, great food, cute outfits, and everything you need for an easy Charleston getaway.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to plan a girls’ trip, a long weekend with your husband, or just a little getaway where you can eat really good food and walk around pretty streets in cute clothes… let me introduce you to Charleston.
Charleston is one of those places that somehow feels both fancy and completely relaxed. You can have a beautiful dinner, spend the next morning wandering around historic streets with a coffee, shop on King Street, and then end the day sitting somewhere with a cocktail watching the sun go down.
Basically, it’s hard to have a bad day in Charleston.
And yes, you’re going to take approximately 437 pictures of the pastel houses.

So, what should you actually do?
Start downtown and give yourself plenty of time to just walk.
One of my favorite things about Charleston is that you don’t have to schedule every minute. Walk along the Battery, stop at Rainbow Row, wander through the little side streets, pop into shops, grab a coffee, and see where the day takes you.
Waterfront Park and the famous Pineapple Fountain are easy stops to add to your day, and King Street is perfect when you’re ready for shopping, food, and a little people watching.
And if you’re anything like me, you’re going to want to stop every five minutes because there is another house, doorway, flower-covered window, or little courtyard that is just too pretty not to photograph.
Don’t overplan it.
This is probably my biggest Charleston tip.
You definitely want reservations for the restaurants and experiences you really care about, but leave room to wander.
Some of the best Charleston moments are the ones that aren't on the itinerary.
A slow morning.
A long lunch.
Finding a cute shop you didn't know existed.
Sitting outside with a glass of wine.
Taking pictures with your girls because, let's be honest, someone needs to document the outfits.
And speaking of outfits…
What do you actually pack for Charleston?
Think comfortable but cute.
You’ll probably be walking more than you expect, so bring shoes you can actually survive in. Then add the dresses, linen pieces, sandals, sunglasses, jewelry, and whatever makes you feel like you belong in a Charleston travel magazine.
I put together an Amazon Charleston shopping list with some of my favorite travel pieces so you don't have to spend three hours searching for the perfect travel bag, walking shoes, accessories, and trip essentials.

And if you don't want to plan the whole thing yourself…
I made you a Charleston guide.
My Charleston Girls’ Trip Guide is for the person who wants the fun part of planning without opening 47 browser tabs and trying to remember where every recommendation came from.
It’s designed to help you plan your days, know what to pack, find those photo-worthy spots, and actually enjoy your trip instead of spending your entire vacation figuring out what to do next.

Save it for your next girls’ trip, send it to your travel bestie, or buy it now and start planning the trip you keep saying you’re going to take.
Because Charleston is one of those places where the trip starts before you ever get on the plane.
The outfit planning.
The restaurant list.
The “wait…look how cute this hotel is” texts.
The Pinterest board.
The group chat that slowly turns into a full-blown vacation planning committee.
And honestly?
That’s half the fun.
Charleston, I’ll see you soon.
