Our Stay at The Loren Bermuda: A Luxury Family Escape

Our Spring Break at The Loren in Bermuda

(Luxury, but still very much real-life with a kid in tow)

We visited The Loren at Pink Beach over our spring break, which for us Florida folk is March, which in Bermuda means beautiful sunshine… and just enough chill at night to remind you it’s not quite summer yet. I actually loved that. Warm enough for beach days, cool enough for cozy dinners and early evenings without feeling overheated. There’s just something about the afternoon turning to evening and you needing a sweater on the beach.

Traveling as a family, I’m always looking for that sweet spot — somewhere that feels elevated but not stuffy. The Loren delivered exactly that.

The Vibe
Modern, clean, understated luxury. It feels polished but relaxed. Not chaotic. Not overly formal. You can wear linen and sandals and feel perfectly at home. I really have to give the staff major kudos. Bermuda in general is such a welcoming place, but we all felt at home, and they doted on my son, which he LOVED.
It’s especially ideal for:
  • Families who want beach access without a mega-resort feel
  • Couples traveling with kids
  • Parents who appreciate good design and quiet mornings
My Packing Strategy (This One Worked)
I went in with a plan.
Instead of packing by “type,” I packed by day using packing cubes. Each cube had one full outfit — daytime, dinner, and undergarments — ready to go. No digging. No overthinking. It made mornings simple.
I also rotated two bathing suits the entire trip. That’s it. One drying while I wore the other.
  • My favorite packing cubes (one color per family member)  [I’m loving this one!]
  • My go-to neutral travel tote [Travel Tote]
  • The exact swim coverup I basically lived in [Beach Dress Shirt]
  • March tip: Bring one good sweater or wrap for evenings. It gets breezy. I used this one neutral colored shawl but it comes in so many different colors. Get it Here

Tips:
Plan for illnesses, especially with kiddos.  My son got sick on the way home. Fever. Travel exhaustion. The whole thing.
But that’s ok because I always travel with:
Pray you don’t need it. But you’ll feel better knowing it’s there.

Final Thoughts
The Loren gave us that rare balance — refined but relaxed, beautiful but not pretentious, luxurious without feeling disconnected from real life.
And for this season of motherhood? That’s exactly what I want.
Not perfection. Just presence.
